About Alliance of Moms
Alliance of Moms is a community of philanthropists who support expectant and parenting youth in LA’s foster care system so that they can build a bright future for themselves and their children — with dignity, opportunity, and lasting support.
Our annual t-shirt campaign is a tribute to the people who show up with love — every day. It is a celebration of the young moms and dads who have experienced foster care and the supportive community of AOM members.
The proceeds from each campaign fund programs and services that help young parents access the resources and support they need to heal and thrive.

Who We Serve:
Our programs support young parents ages 14 - 21 who have experienced foster care.

In Los Angeles County, nearly 60% of young women in foster care experience at least one pregnancy by age 19.

Children born to parents in foster care have a higher likelihood of entering foster care themselves.

Only 58% of youth in foster care graduate from high school on time.

Only 10% graduate from college.

Over 1 in 5 youth in foster care report experiencing homelessness. Compared to non-parents, expectant and parenting youth are more likely to have experienced instability and food insecurity, and are less likely to be employed.
What We Do:

Create impactful parenting education, self-care, and wellness programs.

Support and provide access to social services and legal representation for expectant and parenting youth.

Fund the Alliance for Children’s Rights’ Healthy Teen Families program, providing holistic solutions and critical interventions that young families need to heal, grow, and thrive.

Raise awareness about the resilient young parents who are determined to break the intergenerational cycle of foster care

Invite members to join and give sustaining gifts and to build a supportive community.
